O Virgin Mother, Lady of Good Counsel, from the beginning of your life on earth until the end, your whole purpose and aim was to do the will of the Heavenly Father.

This was most evident in your answer to the Angel Gabriel, "Be it done to me according to Your word."  . . . I will do the will of the Heavenly Father.  It was the same prayer that Jesus was later to say in the Garden of Gethsemane, "not My will, but Thine be done."

Inspire me, then, dear Mother with your wisdom and counsel.  Help me to see the will of God for me in this life, and then pray to your divine son, that He may give me the strength and courage to fulfill it through the direction of Holy Mother Church and loyalty to its teaching.

May I always remember and practice the only words of counsel which you gave to the world at Cana - and actually to all who expect God to change the water of our ordinary lives into the wine of His love - "Do whatever He tells you."
